Augustus reign as Prince was brief and filled with conflict amongst the grand political powers in the city at the time. His sanity was called into question as he began to exhibit more and more eccentric behavior. Some blamed the Mystical Tarot Cards that he hoarded and which gave him strange powers. Others believed he was possessed or under the influence of Tzimisce Methuselah. None know for sure.

His reign as Prince was ended by a near unanimous decision of the then Primogen Council followed by a quick but vicious coup. Augustus disappeared from the city. Several of Augustus' allies and enemies searched for his remains. None are quite sure of his final fate, although many privately believe him to be dead.
