A handless cripple who came to Atlanta after a long stint in Japan. Originally from Versailles, where his crippling tragedy occurred, Garland was a former painter who was forced to find different circumstances to support his active imagination.

Garland was beginning to make a place in Atlanta using his skills as a Telepath. When his friend, Liza Grey, was murdered Garland fled Atlanta in fear for his own life. It is not known who he was afraid of or why he felt his own unlife was threatened.
