After Jack Wild had abdicated the throne, the Ventrue Robert Grimshaw stepped forward offering peace and prosperity. Striking deals with many of the powerful Kindred in the city, he became Prince by vote of the Primogen. Grimshaw initially seemed an honorable and forthright person, but his treachery and scheming quickly brought him into odds against the powerful Brujah Elder, Sebastian Young.

Grimshaw's reign was short and nearly ended in bloodshed, as Sebastian Young masterfully maneuvered political and martial weight against him. In fear for his life, Grimshaw abdicated.
